27!

I think my math is right...  Good thing coming from a math teacher and all.  This day 27 years ago changed my life when I was, well, born!  I have been thinking about the number 27 all day and here's what I've come up with:

~I learned today that 27 is my Dad's favorite number.
~ My dad, my husband and my brother in law (sister's husband) all have birthdays on a 27th.  (Jan.  Mar.  and Dec.)
~ I am now officially in my late twenties.  No more middle, and certainly no more early.
~  Also, if my math is correct:  If I were to take the 10,000 reasons that this blog is themed around and divide it by 365 (days in a year) then that would equate to 27 (.39 etc).  Coincidence that the year I choose to do this challenge adds up mathematically?  Maybe.  Bit of a stretch?  Perhaps.

As shared on C's birthday, 15 days ago, we celebrate birthdays around here.  It means growth and celebration of another year together.  So, for my birthday, humor me.  I am taking up the challenge of finding 27 reasons that my heart sings!

Here goes:
1.  The diabetic coma that my husband and first born surprised me with this morning.  That's right, donuts for breakfast!
2.  Guilt free Cherry coke drinking all day long.
3.  A staff to work with who is happy (it IS still the first week after all!  Jk they're almost always happy) and encouraging.
4.  Birthday announced on the school's morning news.  A little embarrassing?  Maybe, but did I love it, yes!
5.  Surprise visit from the Hubby to my class (yes, we work together, so this is not that hard!)
6.  Here's the kicker:  He led the class in a rendition of Happy Birthday.  I think I'm wearing off on him!
7.  Yesterday my AP told me that I was awesome and asked someone else why all teachers couldn't be like that.  Um, SUPER ego stroke right there.  Thanks for THAT!
8.  Getting off at 11:30
9.  Coming home to 2 boys :)
10.  One of which did NOT have an accident all morning!  Success!
11.  SO naturally!  We went to Chuck E Cheese,
12.  Where we didn't just survive, but enjoyed each other's company and had a great time!  All 3 of us!
13.  This was followed by lunch at Chipotle.  Happy Birthday to me, from me!
14.  Nap time success.  I'm going to start calling C butter, because he's on a roll!
15.  During which, I log on to Facebook and find like 40 happy birthdays from friends and family!  What an awesome feeling to be on Facebook on your birthday!
16.  Oh yeah!  Also first thing this morning I got a gift!  You know that sweet picture of my 2 guys sitting on a log in Maine, now it's a canvas!
17.  As well as the cards and other gifts that I have received so far!  Thanks guys! (thank you notes to follow)
18.  Well, maybe nap time half success.  T just decided that a nap was not on today's agenda.
19.  So then, the avocado that is currently occupying him while I finish typing.  Those tend to keep him busy and happy!
20.  The texts and phone calls that I have received today.  Thanks guys!
21.  The fact that 37 people LIKE my facebook page (to the right) They like me, they really like me!  Want to make it 38?
22.  The fact that we're having pizza for dinner.
23.  Ooh, and probably cake.  Yum.
24.  The fact that tomorrow is Friday which means that I have survived thrived in my first week of school this year.
25.  T signs "more" and "please" now, which somewhat alleviates the squawking.
26.  And now he's reading "Dinosaur Roar" on the couch.  He's a genius.
